Description

Join the Green Kirkland Partnership to help with the restoration of the forest at Crestwoods Park. Volunteers will spend the morning removing invasive plants like ivy and Himalayan blackberry and mulching newly planted native trees, shrubs and ground covers. No experience is necessary and we encourage volunteers of all ages to join us! This event is led by a volunteer Green Kirkland Steward.

Register to volunteer!

What to Bring Please dress for the weather--layers are encouraged and rain gear is a must most times of year, wear close-toed shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Bring a filled water bottle and snacks to munch on. Tools and training will be provided.

Getting there: The park address is 1818 6th St Kirkland, WA 98033. From the parking area along 6th St walk north (left if you're facing the park). We meet at the wooden kiosk that marks the northern entrance to the natural areas--look for the Green Kirkland signs.

Parking is available in the parking lot and along the street.

Youth Volunteering: Volunteers age 14-17 attending the event without a parent or guardian must bring a waiver signed by a parent or guardian to the event with them. Download the Green Kirkland Youth Volunteer Waiver. Volunteers under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
