Who We Are

Incorporated on July 22nd, 2016, CIN is the result of a group of Congolese refugees and immigrants and other non-Congolese who are committed and determined to put in place mechanisms that address the complicated issues of social, economic, and cultural integration that have so far hindered the effective development of the Congolese in Washington state. The lack of a structured Congolese community-based organization in Washington state has led to the marginalization of our community’s needs Difficulty with a non-native language, Housing Instability, Isolation and Poverty and Physical and mental health concerns related to trauma. These lead to difficulties in accessing adequate housing and maintaining a job.

It is important to note that Congolese are an underrepresented population in Washington state, and among the top five resettled peoples in Washington state.

What We Do

The Congolese Integration Network (CIN) supports Immigrants and Refugees integration into American society by providing access to critical resources. We provide support to Congolese refugees and immigrants to help increase housing and income stability, address language barriers, access information, and build community and family relations.Through our services and support, our community members gain skills and resources to make successful transitions in the future, lower their risk of homelessness, boost resilience, improve well-being and reduce poverty
