Who We Are

Founded in 1982, Seattle Chamber Music Society fosters the appreciation of chamber music by presenting performances featuring world-class musicians in accessible and inviting formats, with an emphasis on developing a broad-based sustainable audience through education and community outreach. Through our Winter and Summer Festivals each January and July at Benaroya Hall, and our engagement programs for adults, youth, and the community-at-large, we provide thousands of people each year with opportunities to experience, learn about and derive joy from chamber music.

What We Do

In addition to our Winter Festival and Summer Festival of live chamber music concerts , Seattle Chamber Music Society reaches young concert goers with our Family Concerts, helps aspiring young musicians with our Chamber Music in the Classroom program, Masterclasses, and Young Artist Awards in partnership with Classical KING FM 98.1. Whether it is an opportunity to learn more about our musicians during the Classical Conversation series hosted by KING FM’s Dave Beck, watch our musicians work on individual pieces at an Open Rehearsals, or stay to Meet the Artists at one of our post-concert Q & A sessions, we strive to offer exciting events that get you closer to the music and the renowned musicians who bring it to life. We also bring chamber music out to a number of City of Seattle Parks for everyone to enjoy. Music Under the Stars are live remote audio-only broadcasts of each of our Summer Festival concerts - check back for more details about specific dates and locations. Chamber Music in the Park is a live concert with Festival musicians during the Summer Festival that takes place at Volunteer Park.
