We are the University Blood Initiative (UBI) and it is our mission to empower local blood centers and ensure the next generation of blood donors by mobilizing an organized network of dedicated young leaders.
Our model, which harnesses the brilliance and abilities of the younger generations, is a solution to the current issues plaguing America’s blood supply: low donor rates, disengaged youth, and closure of local centers. We offer a way for local centers to supplement their recruitment efforts and better engage with young donors at low cost and no additional effort. Our chapters are centrally trained and regulated so centers can focus on the day to day operations. We invite you to join our growing community and change the future of blood donation.
