Who We Are
MISSION: Cultivate the genius of all people by centering the education of Black students and preparing them to excel and to serve as leaders in and for their communities.
VISION: By centering the education of Black students, every person can take action towards liberation for all.
Ashé Preparatory Academies is based on the book, Cultivating the Genius of Black Children, by Dr. Debra R. Sullivan. It describes what classrooms would be like if the decades of research on how Black students learn were implemented today.
What We Do
We cultivate genius for community action by centering the learning needs of Black children and youth. To accomplish this we have created a preschool-to-12th grade school model, Ashé Preparatory Academies, opening in 2025.
