Who We Are

The West Seattle Bee Garden is a community driven organization passionate about education, conservation, sustainability and a safe space for an outdoor learning. Founded by local residents who recognized the importance of bees to our ecosystem, this diverse group of beekeepers, gardeners, educators and nature enthusiasts create a space where everyone can learn about the critical role of honey and native bees. Through our collaborative efforts, we strive to inspire a deeper appreciation for bees and promote practices that support a healthier environment for both pollinators and people.

What We Do

The West Seattle Bee Garden is dedicated to teaching the community to foster an environment where bees, pollinators and humans can coexist. The garden provides a unique space for visitors to learn about the vital role of bees in our ecosystem through educational programs, hands-on workshops and guided tours of our garden and apiary. The garden highlights native to Washington plants as a way for community members to learn more about native pollinators and to create inspiration to plant more native plants.
