Ada Developers Academy

Tech jobs change lives! Ada has helped over 1000 women and gender-expansive people launch careers as software developers and technologists. Our main programs include; Ada Core: Ada’s one-year immersive coding training program fast tracks women and gender expansive people into high-paying, secure software developer jobs, providing 6 months of cost-free instruction and a 5 month internship (with stipend) at one of our tech industry partner companies. Ada provides coaching and wraparound supports to ensure students have what they need to successfully complete the program, including financial assistance, childcare subsidies, therapy, and laptops. These are critical for our majority low-income students (85%) who might not otherwise have the resources to complete the program. Ada Build: Our preparatory program is designed to prepare students to apply to Core by introducing fundamentals of programming. A series of eight online lessons covers writing a program, learning programming vocabulary, and learning to store and interact with data. We also offer a Live virtual review series of the Ada Build curriculum caled Ada Build Live.

Ada Developers Academy is a tuition-free nonprofit coding academy. We’re growing a high-quality tech talent pipeline across the US by removing barriers to entry and cultivating an inclusive community. Research shows Black, Latine, Native American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander people and women, and gender diverse adults remain underrepresented in the STEM workforce, especially in computer science and engineering fields. Our innovative programs and cohort-based learning model produces high-quality talent, remarkable engineers, and agile technologists who increase the impact and efficiency of their teams and organizations. Since 2013, the Ada Core program has graduated over 1100 students, known as Adies. Adies embrace continuous growth, career resilience, and meaningful collaboration, evolving their practical skills to become senior-level developers, impactful leaders, and technologists at Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, Smartsheet, and more.
