Who We Are

We envision a community where every neighbor is valued, respected, and empowered to maintain stability and achieve self-sufficiency. Our mission is to listen, respond, and act with compassion to serve neighbors in their struggle to meet basic needs, as we advocate for a more just and equitable society.

What We Do

For over 100 years, SVdP has provided critical basic resources for neighbors in need, demonstrating "compassion in action."

SVdP has six main focus areas:

  • Crisis Helpline - In 2024, SVdP serviced over 40,000 requests, connecting neighbors with local outreach teams.
  • Vincentian Conferences - Local conferences respond to crisis requests, meeting with neighbors in their homes, and providing individual assistance for a variety of practical needs.
  • Case Management - Case managers walk with families, identify needs, and provide critical systems navigation until families reach stability.
  • Georgetown Foodbank - Welcoming everyone, our Georgetown foodbank distributed nearly 500,000 pounds of food in 2024, along with access to hygiene supplies, a clothing bank and other basic supplies for unhoused neighbors.
  • Thrift Stores - For every dollar spent at our Kenmore, Kent and Renton thrift stores, 90 cents goes directly back to SVdP programming, supporting neighbors. Our thrift store locations also house community hubs, like Centro Rendu, De Colores Early Learning Center, and support services for refugee families.
  • Centro Rendu - Our community resource center for Spanish speaking families, including ESL classes, early childhood education, programming for at-risk youth, and social service support.
