Who We Are

Disabled American Veterans (DAV) is one of America's largest veterans service organizations. DAV is an organization created in 1920 by World War I veterans for disabled military veterans of the United States Armed Forces that helps them and their families through various means. It was issued a federal charter by Congress in 1932. It currently has over 1 million members

What We Do

DAV (ed. Pronounce each letter: Dee Aye Vee) in cooperation with the Veterans Administration, operates a fleet of vehicles around the country to provide free transportation to VA medical facilities. The vans are driven by Veteran and non-Veteran volunteers who ensure that even those veterans living remotely from VA hospitals can make their appointments and never go without the treatment they need. Contact us to volunteer as a driver.
