Seattle Walk for Pulmonary Fibrosis, a 501c3 project of Cascadia Now!

The Seattle Walk for Pulmonary Fibrosis (a 501c3 project of Cascadia Now!) is a community fundraising event, organized entirely by patients, caregivers, and volunteers here in Seattle who wanted to do something meaningful with what we've been through. We receive no fiscal support from the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF); every dollar we raise comes from our own community, and it goes directly to support PFF's work funding research and improving care for people living with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Pulmonary fibrosis is a fatal lung disease with no cure, affecting more than 250,000 Americans, many of them misdiagnosed or diagnosed too late. There are approximately 50,000 new diagnosis each year in the US. This is part of why awareness matters so much — and why events like ours exist. When I was diagnosed, I didn't know anyone else facing this disease. Building this walk with other patients and caregivers has been one of the most meaningful things I've done, and a way to turn my experience into something that helps others. The Seattle Walk for Pulmonary Fibrosis, is in its second year, and will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Seward Park. We expect approximately 150+ participants — patients, caregivers, families, and healthcare professionals to attend.

The Seattle Walk for Pulmonary Fibrosis is open to everyone and unites all working to make a difference in the fight against pulmonary fibrosis (PF). Our goal is to provide an event where those impacted by PF have an opportunity to come together to share in community with others like them, to raise awareness in the greater Seattle community and beyond about the impact of Pulmonary Fibrosis. All proceeds will support the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundations efforts to accelerate research, empower the community, and transform care so that everyone with pulmonary fibrosis can live a better life.
