FWSD: Sacajawea Middle School

Sacajawea beliefs that all students can succeed. Students need a supporting staff, engaging curriculum and an environment that is safe . When students are given all of the support they need and are shown every day that the adults on campus care about them, they will rise to every occasion. The Federal Way school district has continued to grow rapidly over the past 10 years. Sacajawea has tried to grow along with the district and serve an increasingly large number of students who are diverse, near or below the poverty line and in need of emotional/social support. Our school reaches out to community members and has been strengthening those relationships to show our families that we are all in a student's education together.

Sacajawea Middle School is located on the North side of Federal Way. We have an amazingly diverse student population as well as a high percentage of needy families. Our school is currently at 800 students with grades 6 through 8. The school is older and in need of repair, especially with the exterior grounds.
