Who We Are

Techbridge, an award-winning nonprofit with a proven, data-driven model, inspires girls to change the world through science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM.) Our innovative after-school and summer programs inspire 5th through 12th grade girls from underserved communities to change the world, providing girls with hands-on projects and career exploration through our curriculum, role models, and field trips. Founded in 2000 as a program of Chabot Space & Science Center, Techbridge spun off as an independent 501(c)(3) in 2011.

Techbridge's after-school and summer programs have served over 6,000 girls in the San Francisco Bay Area, Greater Seattle and Washington D.C. Techbridge's holistic approach gives girls a strong support network that includes their peers, teachers, families, and role models. Through its national professional development efforts and partnerships with the Girls Scouts, YMCA, and others, Techbridge has reached over 15,000 adults through trainings and resources for role models, educators, and families.

What We Do

Techbridge provides summer and after-school science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) programs for girls and their families in underserved communities.

We teaching girls from underrepresented minority groups to code and engineer through hands-on activities; provide professional development to help teachers understand how to promote gender equity in classrooms; host workshops for low-income families about encouraging their daughters to pursue STEM; and train industry role models to inspire girls to change the world.

We currently work in nine elementary, middle, and high schools in the Highline Public Schools district, in Burien, Sea-Tac, White Center, and South Seattle.
