The Federal Way Senior Center & South King County Food Bank provides services for seniors, individuals, youth and families. Programs are: (1) Health & Wellness Promotion Information & Assistance (2) Weekday buffet breakfast and afternoon hot lunches (3) Food Pantry - Open to all seniors, families, children and individuals that are low income according to HUD guidelines. (4) Education Senior Outreach & Community Relations (5) Supervised Exercise (6) Bingo, Art, Computer Classes, Day Trips, Live Music and Dancing, Pinochle, Sewing Circle (7) Volunteer Opportunities (8) Legal Counseling and Senior Services (8) Facility Rental (9) Community Garden. We have been serving the SKC community since 1974, providing different types or services, reflecting the needs of seniors, youth and families in our community, in our ever changing times. We accept volunteers who are willing to roll up their sleeves and lend a hand to help make the community a safer and better place to live. Our agency provides a place for all ages to come and socialize with others. We provide food and meals to seniors, families, youth and individuals. The Food Pantry provides food to over 600 people per week on Monday and Thursday mornings from 8:15 am - 11:00 am.and Friday 9:30 am to 11:00 am. We also have a buffet breakfast starting at 8:30 am and a delicious hot lunch served Monday through Friday 11:30 am to 12:00 pm to over 200 adults per week. We make a special effort to have special programs available to provide seniors with choices in programs that assist them in keeping up with current events. Our agency also provides a place for seniors to participate in band, art, card games, live music, bingo, dancing, computer classes, exercise and various educational programs and activities.
