Who We Are
Orchard Gardens is a learning and growing community. We grow healthy food for hungry people in the local area. In 2015 we donated more than 1 ton of fresh produce to the local food bank and supported more than 20 local gardeners in growing food for their own families and friends. 2010 was the first year we broke ground and began to cultivate land on the campus of Holy Cross Lutheran in South Bellevue. We also began a restoration and rejuvenation process for an heirloom orchard of 25 fruit trees that provide food for the local community. We reached out to the community for volunteers and many gardeners and orchardists have arrived to help us grown healthy food for hungry people and create community in South Bellevue.
What We Do
Orchard Gardens is a P-Patch and Orchard community in South Bellevue located at 4315 129ith Pl. SE, Bellevue, WA 98006. We learn from each other and organizations such as City Fruit and King County about growing healthy food. We support our P-Patchers with learning experiences. We hold community events such as Apple Picking and Cider Making to strengthen community connections. We use the beautiful 3 acre campus to invite neighbors to meet each other and explore opportunities to solve community challenges. It is a supportive, active, fun group of folks.
