Who We Are

Vision Statement: Hope, Home, and Education for every child, one family at a time. Mission Statement:First Place serves families in crisis by providing excellent culturally competent education, housing and support services enabling families to achieve permanent stability. First Place was incorporated in February 1989 and opened its doors that same year to 5 homeless children on the morning of April 10th. At that time, if you did not have a permanent address, you could not register for school. First Place was started to address that need in the community. The first full school year began in September of 89.
