Who We Are

We are volunteer community members involved in all aspects of the horticulture program and the evolving urban farm at Nathan Hale High School -- and the Horticulture and lead science teacher at Nathan Hale.

What We Do

Friends of Nathan Hale Horticulture and Urban Farm supports the horticulture program at Nathan Hale High School and advises and assists in the development and maintenance of all aspects of the Nathan Hale Horticulture and Urban Farm. Examples: Currently we are assisting the program in designing and implementing physical changes to the site that serves as a living laboratory for the horticulture program so that it will be more manageable and self sustaining and produce healthy plants that are useful as edibles, herbs, pollinators, and other beneficial functions and contribute to the students' understanding of the natural interconnectedness of plants, humans, animals, air, water and other aspects of the environment.
