Who We Are
The City of Auburn's Community Services Division's goal is to reduce the number of people who are living in poverty. Towards this end, the City provides funding to agencies that can assist members of the community who, for one reason or another, are in need - either temporarily or more long-term. We aim to strengthen ties in the community through education, outreach, and civic engagement.
Mission: To strengthen ties in the community by reaching out through education, outreach and civic engagement.
What We Do
The City of Auburn owns a single family, transitional home in Auburn ("Sparrow House"). It houses families for up to 2 years coming from temporary housing, emergency housing, and/or homelessness and helps prepare them for permanent housing and successfully living on their own upon exiting the program.
