The work of child care enables ALL other work.

Kids Co. is a nonprofit child care organization. At Kids Co. we create safe spaces that inspire wonder, curiosity and play. We’ve been serving families since 1989 and have become an anchor for each of the communities we’ve been welcomed into. We started with one center in Ballard, and now have locations throughout Seattle.

Our mission is to provide and advocate for affordable quality child care that enriches and nurtures all children, supporting their success in school and in life.

Our vision: All children have access to quality care and education. No family is turned away due to inability to pay.

Our child care programs operate year-round for kids ages 3-12 with hours that coordinate with full-time working families. We provide after-school care, preschool, and summer day camp. 

Kids Co. provides child care for children 3 - 12 years old. Children enrolled in our programs, are treated to a curriculum that inspires wonder, curiosity, and play. We emphasize social-emotional learning through experiential activities (like field trips, specialty classes, games, and sports), active and quiet play, and so much more!

Worthwhile service with minimal time commitment: Board meetings are the third Wednesday of every other month, from 5-6 pm via Zoom. December holiday party/meeting is in-person. Other meetings may be scheduled, should the need arise.
