Who We Are

Kids4Peace builds interfaith communities that embody a culture of peace and empower a movement for change. We are a grassroots interfaith youth movement dedicated to ending conflict and inspiring hope in Jerusalem and other divided societies around the world. We work with American, Israeli, and Palestinian youth who come from Muslim, Jewish, Christian, and other backgrounds. In Seattle, our work has both a local and global focus. Locally, our youth tackles issues such as Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, racism, homelessness, and poverty. Youth in the Kids4Peace Community also have the opportunity to take part in summer programs with peers from the Jerusalem area, engaging in cross-cultural exchange and working together to find solutions to the issues that divide us.

What We Do

Kids4Peace offers two programs in Seattle: the Kids4Peace Community, and Kids4Peace Outreach. Both programs have four main focus areas: Interfaith Education, Dialogue & Leadership Skills, Social Change, and Community Building. The Kids4Peace Community consists of youth in grades 6-12 who meet on a monthly basis throughout the school year and who participate in intensive summer programs. Kids4Peace Outreach consists of workshops that Kids4Peace runs for community groups, schools, and religious congregations; quarterly regional youth gatherings open to all youth in the greater Seattle area; and speakers, films, and other events of interest to the broader community.
