World Relief Western Washington seeks to help refugees adjust to life in the United States and to become self-sufficient and equipped to fully participate in the community.
As a refugee resettlement agency, World Relief Western Washington offers case management and self-sufficiency services to newly-arrived refugees. These include meeting basic needs upon arrival (food, shelter, furnishings, etc.), orientation to American culture and systems, job placement assistance including regular work readiness classes and activities, English language training, and financial literacy and budget training.
Beyond the initial welcome and resettlement period, we also desire to see our participants rooted and empowered in their respective communities. This happens through our long-term, community building programs such as a community garden, sewing circles, culinary training, and immigrant youth internships.
