Northwest Girlchoir

Northwest Girlchoir transforms the lives of girls and young women through outstanding musical education, dynamic choral performances, and an enduring community. We envision a world where everyone is transformed by the beauty of choral music and the power of women's voices. We are guided by the values of artistic excellence, education, equity, community, collaboration, service, and global awareness.

Founded in 1972, Northwest Girlchoir has inspired thousand s of girls, families, and audiences across the Puget Sound and around the world. With six progressive choir levels for girls age 6-18, we host a variety of concerts, regularly commission new choral compositions, participate in artistic collaborations and local civic events, and travel to regional and international festivals and tours. Choristers work with engaging conductor-teachers, peers, and guest artist while developing as confident musicians, performers, teammates, and leaders. Our youth outreach program includes generous scholarships, performances at schools in Seattle and Shoreline, and a free after-school choir program at a local elementary school.
