We are on a mission to transform systems, policies, and practices to create equitable health outcomes and enduring health equity. Since 1974, Foundation for Healthy Generations has worked to ensure all people have the equal opportunity for a healthy life. We address the critical social, economic, and environmental conditions that impact health in communities with the poorest health outcomes by engaging communities, fostering learning and innovation, and advocating for system-wide changes.

To fulfill our mission, Foundation for Healthy Generations: works in partnership with people and organizations to advocate for systems-level changes that support policies and programs that contribute to equity; invests in the infrastructure and people doing the difficult work of building health and healing in communities across the state; and, is the statewide leader in community health worker initiatives.
