Who We Are
Crisis Connections, formerly known as Crisis Clinic, was founded in 1964, and supports people throughout Washington State. We are the second oldest crisis line in the nation and support over 650,000 people annually who are struggling with life's challenges. Today, our programs include the 24-Hour Crisis Line, 988, 211, Teen Link, Recovery Help Line, Support After Suicide, and the Warm Line. Our mission to is to foster resilience and wellbeing for all by connecting people to accessible and compassionate support.
What We Do
Crisis Connections connects people in physical, emotional, and financial crisis to compassionate peer connection and individualized resource referrals. We do this to reduce immediate emotional distress and defuse crises for individuals, families, and the community. Providing immediate support reduces the immediate risk of violence to one’s self and others and increases people's ability to access life saving mental and emotional support services. Crisis Connections serves all people throughout Washington with an emphasis on serving King County residents.
