Who We Are

Austen Everett Foundation is a Seattle based nonprofit. Our founder, Austen Everett, is a Seattle native goalkeeper who was playing at U of Miami when she was diagnosed with cancer. While receiving treatment, she saw the energetic force her athletic community brought to her in her fight and envisioned a foundation that could do the same for every kid battling cancer. Before she passed in 2012 she saw the the first Honorary Team Captain event. In 2019 we have empowered over 800 and continue to grow.

What We Do

Austen Everett Foundation empowers kids battling cancer through the strength and support of athletic teams. We partner with over 60 professional and collegiate teams to out put on Honorary Team Captain events for kids battling cancer. At their dedicated event they meet the team, receive a personalized jersey, call the coin toss, and much more. This once in a lifetime experience in the unique environment sports brings give kids memories to take with them through treatment and beyond.
