Volunteer alongside the current cohort of SCA's Conservation Leadership Corps (School-Year) members as they work to restore healthy habitat in Seattle with monthly service events! Every second Saturday, SCA crew members and the public will be volunteering to connect with each other and contribute to a park's healthy ecosystem. You will plant and maintain natives plants, watching them thrive in place of Himalayan Blackberry thickets and English Ivy mats.
WHEN: Saturday, December 10 -- 10 am to 2 pm
WHERE: Maplewood Playfield located at 4801 Corson Ave S, Seattle, WA 98119
WHAT: Volunteers will plant and maintain native plants restoring critical habitat.
BRING WITH YOU: Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, preferably work boots or sturdy sneakers, and bring a reusable water bottle. The event will take place rain or shine so please dress for the weather!
PROVIDED: SCA will provide coffee and hearty snacks for all volunteers, as well as project materials and gloves.
