Volunteer: Corral BuddiesCorral Buddies are the warm, welcoming presence that makes our shelter feel like a safe haven — for the animals and for our community. As a Corral Buddy, you'll provide comfort, enrichment, and calm companionship to animals in our care, helping them feel less stressed and more ready for their next homes. Applications are through our volunteer portal, please select link below. What You'll Do • Sit near corral or in corral and offer a calm, reassuring presence to animals while our staff is at lunch to provide dogs extra opportunities for out-of-kennel time • Talk softly, read aloud, or simply keep animals’ company to reduce stress and anxiety • Engage animals through the kennel with approved enrichment items (toys, treats) as directed by staff • Observe animal behavior and report any changes or concerns to shelter staff • Help create a soothing, positive environment in the shelter • Assist with light tasks such as preparing enrichment, restocking supplies, or updating animal activity logs •
