Manager of Kitchen ServicesVolunteer duties The kitchen support will help with all functions of the kitchen and dining area. This includes but is not limited to:Provide a welcoming atmosphere that encourages engagement from participants.Assist with preparation of food items and beverages.Wash dishes, utensils and kitchen appliances and ensure their proper storage.Ensure that work surfaces are clean.Inventory kitchen pantry and food storage as needed.Organization of kitchen space, pantry, and dining room.Interact with clients in a respectful and responsible manner.Volunteer RequirementsMust be 18 years of age or older.Ability and willingness to pass a background check.Proof of Covid Vaccine. Completed Volunteer PaperworkFood Handlers Permit (can be completed during first volunteer shift).Physical demands and Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the volunteer is regularly required to stand for most of their volunteer shift. In this position, you must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Do you love to drive and are looking for a low contact volunteer opportunity? Friends of Youth has an amazing way to get active and volunteer in our community to help youth. 
 
Friends of Youth is looking for as needed donation pick-up / delivery drivers to retrieve items from donors around Seattle and the East Side and deliver them to our central office in Kirkland or deliver items to our programs around the East Side. This opportunity is great for someone who wants to volunteer but may not be able to commit to a set schedule.
