Volunteer: BBYFS Creating Connections Friendship Groups

**Join Us in Fostering Friendship and Community!**

Breaking Barriers is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to support our Creating Connections Friendship Group, designed for individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health diagnosis ages 13-18 &18+. Your involvement will help us create a warm, inclusive environment where participants can build friendships, engage in social activities, and reduce feelings of isolation.

**Volunteer Responsibilities:**

- Facilitate or assist in facilitating friendship groups and social gatherings.

-Assist with registration and sign-ins.  

- Plan or assist in planning and organize games and activities that promote interaction and connection.

- Support participants in building friendships and navigating social situations.

- Help create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all.



- Groups meet 1x a month usually on  will meet once a month for activities or events.
- Background checks are required for all volunteers to ensure a safe environment for our participants.
