For years, United Way’s Day of Caring has been the largest day of volunteering in Washington state. This year, we’re re-imagining what caring looks like in a time of social distancing, and offering virtual volunteer opportunities!
Your group can be part of this great event by signing up for a project now!
Please read the instructions below to learn about registering for one of these Days of Caring opportunities and the important role you have as a project leader. For other resources check out our project leader guide.
As a project leader, you get to:
- Choose a project for your team and claim volunteer slots.
- Recruit volunteers needed for your project.
- Act as a liaison between your nonprofit partner and your volunteer group.
- Rally your team, help the project run smoothly, and do great things for our local community!
Ready to be a project leader? Here's how to register:
- Pick a project from the list below, click "View Details," and then click "respond as a group." Note that you may volunteer alongside other groups. If you would like a private project just for your team, please email dayofcaring@uwkc.org to ensure there are no other groups registered for the project you’re interested in.
- Create a volunteer profile if you don't have one, or log in if you do.
- Select "Create a new group" (please do not select "use one of my groups" even if you are registering for multiple projects)
- Enter your group name Click “add member” to register yourself and claim the amount of spots you need.
Note: If you want to register as an individual rather than a part of a team, you are responsible for connecting with the host organization if you have any questions.
