DESCRIPTION:
Bridges Stage Company believes in the power of theatre as a platform for voices and viewpoints to be expressed and heard, which act as a springboard for listening and conversation. Through both the presentation of comedic and dramatic plays that address the social issues, human difficulties, and cultural and ethnic challenges facing all of us today, we create forums for discussion. The goal of all our work is to promote understanding, tolerance and acceptance of all people. We do this through the presentation of plays by writers from a multitude of ethnicities, cultures and religions whose works offer a world of perspectives and insights into the human condition. A theatre company for the 21st Century!
WE ARE SEEKING A CULTURALLY DIVERSE BOARD WITH THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
1. A love of challenging, enlightening, enriching, as well as entertaining theatre.
2. An average of 6 hours devoted to Bridges Stage Company each month.
3. The ability to listen, analyze, think clearly and creatively, work well with people individually and in groups.
4. Have the commitment and willingness to ask questions, take responsibility, follow through with assignments, contribute financial resources according to circumstances, and approach your network of contacts for fundraising purposes.
5. Experience in one or more of these fields: finance, fundraising, marketing, branding, social media, strategic planning, board development, and human resources.
