Join us for the 50th Anniversary Run of the Seattle Marathon.
We need a lot of volunteers to help keep our runners hydrated as they run 26.2 or 13.1 miles around Seattle Thanksgiving weekend. Working a water station is a great and easy way to get involved as an individual or with a group/team and anyone can do it!
Below you will find the general duties at a water station. Each station is hosted by 20-30 volunteers so you there are a lot of hands to help and cheer at the same time.
SET UP OF WATER STATION
- Prefill Gatorade and water cups (no more than half full) arrange water and Gatorade on separate sides of the table
DURING RACE
- As runners pass stand at the end of the table and hold out a cup to each participant. They may also take cups from the table.
- During slow times please pick up all trash around your water station, remember cups may be left further down the course.
POST RACE CLEAN UP
- Please make sure all your trash is picked up and placed in black trash bags.
