Description

Join Mid Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group on the King County Parks-owned West Sammamish River Trail in Woodinville to restore Chinook salmon habitat! June is Orca Recovery Month, and we will be kicking off the month by restoring habitat for salmon. Salmon are critically important for the Orca's food web, with Chinook Salmon being a main food source for our local Southern Resident Killer Whales.

At the event we will be removing Himalayan blackberry from the river bank and laying landscaping fabric over the areas we clear to prevent re-growth over the summer. Your help and support are so valuable and necessary to transform this shoreline into healthy habitat!

Upon signing up you will receive an email with information on how to access the site.

If you are under 18 and attending without a parent or guardian, please print and fill out the Youth Waiver Form attached to the confirmation email and bring it with you to the event!

Funded by grants from King County Cooperative Watershed Management, King County Waterworks, and the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife.
