Description

Volunteer with Mid Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group on the King County Parks-owned West Sammamish River Trail in Woodinville to restore Chinook, Coho, and Sockeye salmon habitat!

We will spend the event time doing maintenance and monitoring activities at the Sammamish River shoreline restoration site. These are important tasks during the summer season and we appreciate the help volunteers like you bring!

Maintenance activities will include clearing Himalayan Blackberry and other invasive species, watering native plants, and laying landscaping fabric to suppress weed re-growth.

We will monitor previously planted portions of the restoration site to document plant survival. Monitoring is a great opportunity to learn plant identification and data collection skills!

Upon signing up you will receive a confirmation email with information on how to access the site and more details about the event. Molly, Mid Sound Fisheries Stewardship Coordinator, will send a reminder email with event logistics the Wednesday before the event.

**If you are under 18 and attending without a parent or guardian, please also print and fill out the Youth Waiver Form attached to the confirmation email and bring it with you to the event!

Funded by grants from King County Cooperative Watershed Management, King County Waterworks, and the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife.
