Join us for a Planting Party
Join us in Gallagher Hill Open Space and our new garden project Gallagher Habitat Garden for a special day of planting. We’ve been partnering with students from the Mercer Island High School Horticulture Program to help design our new garden space. Are you interested in learning more about local gardening and native plants? Do you want to get involved in building healthier ecosystems? Do you want to spend some time outdoors with your friends and neighbors? Come join us! Students will be giving educational talks about native and non-native plants and sharing their visions for the new garden.
We will be planting in both Gallagher Habitat Garden and Gallagher Hill Open Space.
Where: Gallagher Hill Open Space off of Shorewood Dr
When: Saturday 3/25 10am-1pm
What to bring: Dress for the weather in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (think: long pants, boots or sneakers). Bring water and a some food to share! Snacks, gloves and tools will be provided by Mercer Island.
