Join us for an Island Crest Park Trail Work and Plant Salvaging!
Join us for an evening of work in Island Crest Park. We are in the beginning stages of building a brand new bike skills area in Island Crest Park. We’re helping to clear out space for the new path by removing and composting non-native plants, and salvaging the native ones. Join us to dig up and repot various native plants that will be planted park in the park this fall.
It will be a great chance to get your hands in the dirt, learn about native plants and our local forests, and work alongside neighbors and friends! No experience necessary; gloves and tools are provided.
When: Thursday, July 6th, 3pm-5pm
Where: Island Crest Park Parking Lot
What to bring: Dress for the weather in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (think: long pants, boots or sneakers). Bring a water bottle. Small snacks, gloves, and tools will be provided.
