Join us for a Work Party in Pioneer Park and Honor Indigenous People’s Day
Please join us as we remove ivy in order to make space for native plants, we’ll be putting in the ground in the next couple of months!
In honor of Indigenous People’s Day, we will be sharing information about Coast Salish names for local plants and traditional knowledge about cultural and medicinal uses for these plants, with information from the Snoqualmie Tribe Plant Coloring Book.
All ages are welcome, no experience necessary; gloves and tools provided.
When: Saturday, October 7th, 10am-1pm
Where: Pioneer Park SE. Meet at the corner of Island Crest Way and SE 68th St. Follow VOLUNTEER EVENT Signs
What to bring: Dress for the weather in clothes you don’t mind getting dirty (think: long pants, boots or sneakers). Bring water. Small snacks, gloves, and tools will be provided.
