Description

Get your hands dirty by helping to remove invasive plants like canary grass and blackberry bushes, to clear the way for planting trees and native shrubs in the Fall.

Salmon are critical prey for Southern Resident killer whales, and by planting trees and shrubs along vital watersheds we are helping to create healthy riparian forests which salmon need for survival. Healthy riparian forests control erosion of river banks, shade waters keeping them cool for young salmon, and host insects that salmon need early in life for prey.
