This Volunteer Month, you have the power to make an impact! United Way of King County is inviting volunteers to help select which nonprofit organizations will receive funding to host a volunteer opportunity in April. No prior grant experience is needed—we’ll guide you through the process!
Note that this is a multiple day volunteering opportunity and participants will need to commit to the following schedule:
-Session 1: March 10th @6 PM
Join us virtually to explore grant-making from the inside out with a community services expert. A meeting invitation will be sent to all registrants prior to the session.
-March 10th-15th, review grants and submit your responses to United Way team.
-Session 2 March 15th @11 AM
Join us in person (Location TBD) to review applications and help decide which projects receive funding.
This is a great way to see behind the scenes of grantmaking and ensure that community-led volunteer opportunities receive the support they need. By signing up for this project you are committing to participating in both sessions and reviewing grant applications between the first and second meeting.
