Join us on Saturday, April 18th from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Small Axe Farm in Redmond for Preserving the Land Through AgriCULTURE, a hands-on volunteer day in partnership with Black Farmers Collective.
Located in the Sammamish Valley, Small Axe Farm serves as an incubator and teaching farm supporting emerging BIPOC land stewards through access to land, training, and resources. Volunteers will hear from the founder about the origins of Black Farmers Collective and then support the preservation of the land through seasonal tasks such as weeding, pruning, organizing tools, and general farm clean-up.
This work contributes to a broader mission of building a Black-led food system and advancing equity within our local food landscape. No prior experience is needed, just come ready to learn, connect, and get your hands a little dirty.
Gloves, water, and lunch will be provided. Please bring sturdy outdoor shoes and a refillable water bottle.

Please note that these volunteer projects help serve the needs of our community organizations, and the volunteer capacity is set to serve that. If you need to cancel your commitment to a project, please cancel at least 48 hours in advance
