Description

There are a million people in Washington at risk of going hungry every night, and the Emergency Feeding Program aims to alleviate hunger by making nutritious food available when and where people need it. At the King County facility, donations are collected, sorted, and packaged into fifteen different types of food bags – from diabetic to Asian or Latino or East African to baby.

Then, the Emergency Feeding Program partners with agencies around the county to deliver the food bags and ensure that every family, no matter their financial situation, has access to nutrition.

We’ll be lending a hand in various ways – labeling, tapping and cleaning collection barrels; sorting food in the warehouse; maybe even some administrative assistance to help ensure operations are running smoothly.

This opportunity is open to young professionals in their 20s and 30s as part of our Emerging Leaders program.
