Look down. What's on your feet? Running shoes? Oxfords? Birkenstocks? Unfortunately, not everyone in Seattle has the luxury of proper footwear. That’s where you can make a difference as an Emerging Leader. Redeeming Soles is partnering with United Way of King County's Emerging Leaders (ELs) to prepare proper footwear for people experiencing homelessness. On Saturday, September 9, you can roll up your sleeves alongside 100 other ELs to do good, network, and celebrate.
This isn’t just another EL project – you will join more than 12,000 do-gooders volunteering across Seattle for Day of Caring 2018. By participating in a Day of Caring project, (a.k.a. our project with Redeeming Soles), you will receive an exclusive invitation to the “Night out for Caring” after-party on Friday, September 21 at Safeco field!
We look forward to showing up for our community in a big way with Redeeming Soles- ELs will be cleaning and sorting shoes in order to prepare them for distribution to the people who need them most. Don't be afraid to clean out your closet and bring a couple of shoes to donate!
This opportunity is open to volunteers who are young professionals in their 20s and 30s as part of our Emerging Leaders program.
