From January 13th through April 18th, 2020, the Free Tax Campaign offer free, walk-in tax preparation assistance at Goodwill in Burien. As a tax volunteer, you will prepare tax returns and support clients through the filing process to ensure all eligible credits are claimed.
For 2020 only, United Way is offering a special 6-week volunteer opportunity for tax preparers to supercharge our tax sites, beginning in early March and ending on April 18th, 2020.

Time Commitment for a Volunteer Tax Preparer:
You can choose a weekly shift that works for you! There are a number of shift options to choose from including days, evenings and weekends. Volunteers commit to attending a weekly, 3-4 hour shift during tax season.
Volunteer shifts at Burien Goodwill are:

Tuesdays, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Thursdays, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Saturdays, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM

Saturdays, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Sundays, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Below you will find date and time of the first day of your weekly shift. This date and time will correspond to your shift choice for the rest of the season.

For example:
Shift begins on March 3rd @ 5:00 pm, duration: 4 hours.
This means your shift will be every Tuesday, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm.
Training Requirements:
No prior tax experience is necessary!
*Training will take place at South Seattle College (6000 16th Ave SW, Seattle, WA 98106) on February 29th and March 1st.
Training reminders will be sent via email a week prior to your training date.
