Important information regarding this site: This site is now open and receiving tax clients. However, you are still welcome to join as a volunteer! Because of the way this website is programmed, we cannot add reoccurring days. If you are interested in joining, please select a tax site by the DAY of the week that this opportunity is posted, NOT by the actual date. This site is already open. For example, if you'd like to start volunteering on Mondays, please select whatever Monday date is listed below.
At this time, new volunteers will be provided their tax training resources virtually. If you are interested in becoming a tax volunteer but are not sure about taking your tax training virtually, please contact freetax@uwkc.org and let us know what site you're interested in so we can discuss how best to train you on tax law.

Volunteer shifts at Multi-Service Center are:
- Shift 1: Tuesdays, from 5:30PM – 9PM
- Shift 2: Wednesdays, from 5:30PM – 9PM
- Shift 3: Thursdays, from 5:30PM – 9PM
- Shift 4: Saturdays, from 9AM – 12:30PM
- Shift 5: Saturdays, from 12:30PM – 4PM
Sign up for a weekly shift!
Below you will find the date and start time of your first weekly shift. This date and time will correspond to your shift choice for the rest of the season. Please note: We ask volunteers to commit to one weekly shift for the duration of the tax season: 1/9/2023 – 4/20/2023.
- Shift 1: Select “Tue Feb 7, 2023 @ 5:30 PM” below
- Shift 2: Select “Wed Feb 8, 2023 @ 5:30 PM” below
- Shift 3: Select “Thu Feb 9, 2023 @ 5:30 PM” below
- Shift 4: Select “Sat Feb 11, 2023 @ 9:00 AM” below
- Shift 5: Select “Sat Feb 11, 2023 @ 12:30 PM” below
For example:
You select “Wed Jan 18, 2023 @ 5:30 pm, duration: 3.5 hours.”
This means your reoccurring volunteer shift will be every Wednesday from 5:30pm to 9:00pm.
