A very friendly and outgoing veteran is needing your help with light housework. She has been dealing with health issues that are preventing her from reaching high and low places safely. Could you spend 2-3 hours a month helping her dust, clean her floors and spend time chatting with her?
Volunteer Services, a program of Catholic Community Services, assists low-income elders and persons living with disabilities. Volunteers can provide assistance with light housecleaning, transportation, grocery shopping, home repair and yard care. With a little help from volunteers, clients can continue to live independently in their homes.
Due to the vulnerable population we serve, volunteers must complete an application form, pass a background check, provide driver's license and auto insurance, and attend an orientation and training. If providing transportation, must be 21 years of age and over. We provide mileage reimbursement and volunteers will need to pass a driver's abstract.
