Volunteer Opportunity in Seattle at the US CG Base:
150 Volunteers are needed on FRIDAY, December 9, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Register by responding to this opportunity or call Bobette with questions at 206-232-9854. Driving directions will be given to you after registration. Non-citizens with passport must register by Nov.1, 2016. Citizens must register before Dec. 1, 2016. All persons over the age of 16 must have a Photo I.D. All drivers must have vehicle proof of insurance and registration. There is parking provided Friday, Dec. 9, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Saturday, Dec. 10 from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Volunteers will be given tasking directions when they arrive at the Stocking Stuffing Event. No special skills needed, just a willingness to help and be helpful.
*SATURDAY STOCKING STUFFING SLOTS ARE NOW FULL.* HOWEVER: Some volunteers are still needed on Saturday, Dec. 10th, to be Shelter Captains, to oversee a shelter box of stockings to be stuffed, then to deliver them to a shelter sometime the following week from Dec. 12-16. during working hours. Shelter Captain volunteers must come Saturday, Dec. 10, at 9:00 AM for a meeting before the Stocking Stuffing begins Register online (complete driving directions will be given to you.) The Coast Guard Base is near Safeco Field in Seattle.
