Project description: Assist the Process Improvement team with re-taping the store production areas. Tape is used in our production areas to create an efficiency map for staff work spaces and product storage. A re-tape is needed when our production area loses its tape over time from regular wear and use. Re-taping consists of moving equipment and product out of the way, cleaning the floor, setting up (sometimes to a new layout) and laying duct tape. Re-taping will improve the look of efficiency map.
Project tasks:
- Move all tables, cages, totes out of the way (often times onto a trailer or outside)
- Sweep the floor
- Move some of the equipment and tables back into place according to a predetermined layout
- Place tape on the floor around all equipment
- Use a white paint marker to label all the tape
