At St. James Cathedral Immigrant Assistance our mission is to build an inclusive society and that means you! Volunteers share essential skills and knowledge and gain rich, cross-cultural experience and understanding. With newly acquired information and tools, immigrants and refugees in turn contribute to and enrich our communities.
Volunteer Citizenship Preparation Tutors: 6-month commitment /once a week to provide instruction based on U.S. History and Civics to help students prepare for the United States citizenship exam.
To volunteer as citizenship tutor you must be at least 18 years old and fluent in English.
Orientation to the citizenship process and instructional materials is provided.
