Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.
A volunteer is needed to deliver meals in Renton on Wednesday mornings. Drivers start at 10 am and are typically done with their route in 1 to 2 hours. Training is provided, and mileage is reimbursable while making deliveries. An alternate volunteer is also needed to fill in occasion when the weekly driver is away.
Qualifications: Good communication and people skills, reliable, good cheer, and a commitment to the well-being of homebound elders. This is an on-going volunteer commitment.
Requirements: Complete an application, consent to a background check, be able to lift 15lbs and navigate stairs, be at least 18 years of age, and have a Washington state driver’s license and auto insurance.
