Join our Volunteer team to help Meals on Wheels in King County fight hunger! As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.
Caller: A volunteer is needed in Renton to call Meals on Wheels participants for their weekly order on Wednesday mornings, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, 2-3 times per month. We’re looking for someone available long-term. Training will be provided.
Qualifications: Commitment to the well-being of elders, good communication and people skills, reliability, and good cheer. This is an on-going volunteer commitment.
Requirements: Complete an application, consent to a background check, be able to lift 15lbs, be able to climb stairs, and be at least 18 years of age. Volunteer drivers must have a Washington state driver’s license and auto insurance.
