Volunteers at our Cherry Street Food Bank help by distributing food to clients at our food bank, as well as sorting and repackaging food for distribution. Volunteers will be both inside and outside, although the outside work stations are under awnings.
While we do have two projects for this date, we are not able to have the same volunteers for both projects.
Our minimum age is 9 years old or third grade. Volunteers under 18 must have a parent or guardian volunteer alongside them and both must be registered for the project. Please note: Northwest Harvest cannot provide community service hours for any court-related purposes.
Northwest Harvest is a hunger-response network that provides food to more than 375 food banks, meal programs, and high need schools. Through this network, we provide more than 2 million meals every month.
